We are a small collective from North Carolina. Writers. Creatives. Hip hop heads. Parents. Builders. We say what folks say off the record, on the record. If it’s here, we stand on it.

Where we from

The Carolinas. Barbershops. Cookouts. Church parking lots after service. Open mics. Studio couches. That’s the lens. That’s the energy.

What this is

A culture site through a Black lens. Hip hop, relationships, money, and community. If it moves the timeline or the block, it’s in bounds.

How we post

• Culture Court (Mon): call it like we see it. No fluff.
• On Code (Wed): real talk about life, work, home, the hood.
• Drop Day Radar (Fri): new music. short takes. one staff pick.

The voice

Plain talk with NC flavor. Black text with a few red highlights. No corporate speak. Sometimes profanity. Never hate. Never targeting protected groups. We punch up, not down.

Receipts matter

We link sources when it counts and post the proof when we have it. Got a correction or a receipt we missed. Send it and we’ll update.

Comment policy
